THE BEATLESA rare collection of nine scrap albums compiled by Susan Houghton, between 1963 and 1969 including an extensive and unusual selection of mementoes, press cuttings, publicity photographs, unpublished snap-shots and a quantity of in-depth research notes on the group, the majority concentrating on her favourite Beatle - George Harrison - various handwritten details include information gleaned from visits to George Harrison's home 174 Mackets Lane, Woolton, Liverpool listing records in his collection, clothes in his wardrobe, a detailed plan of George's bedroom, 184 songs performed by The Beatles at various venues and 101 songs regularly performed by the group at The Cavern, also concert dates and venues in 1963; a quantity of unusual mementoes sellotaped into several albums include: a piece of thread from George's jeans, a piece of blanket from George's bed, a cigarette end from George's car, a corner of toast labelled Piece of George's breakfast 2-8-63 , a twig labelled Piece of hedge out of Paul's garden , a sixpenny piece labelled 6d from George's Mum for an ice cream at The Empire 26-5-63' , a jelly baby given to George in Manchester, and a sock given to Susan by George's mother Louise; also various tickets including one for Sunday Night at the London Palladium 13 October 1963, another for Juke Box Jury with The Beatles on the panel, various snap-shots of George as a teenager, given to Susan by Louise Harrison; publicity photographs, press cuttings and related material; a collection of autograph letters, signed from Louise Harrison, varous dates October 9th 1964 - July 29th 1969, several pieces signed or inscribed by George and one photograph signed by Paul McCartney.
