The Birth of Bacchus, a fine fan, the leaf painted with Bacchus, son of Jupiter and Semele; Mercury is presenting the baby to Ino, sister of Semele, the nurse, Mystis is on the left; the enraged Juno on the right, the verso painted with a mother and children in a landscape by a river, with castle wells to the left, the ivory battoire sticks carved and pierced with musicians, a gardener and a lady with a dog - 10in.
