The Collection of Artillery Insignia formed by the late Norman Litchfield Buttons Georgian Period, a very fine selection including officers’ examples to Nulli Secundus Club (HM 1819), Royal Engineers closed back, Royal Lanark Militia gilt open back (3), Inspectors of Yeomanry & Volunteers silver plated open back (2), General pattern Volunteers crown over ‘GR’, two large and one small gilts, one med/large silver plate, HAC a large flat silver plate c1780-1810, Loyal Nottingham Vol Infantry open back silver plate, 6th Carabineers a very large open back silver plate c17901-1820 (re-shanked), East Lothian Yeomanry Cavalry large plated ball pattern (2), Frome & Selwood Volunteer Cavalry and a Royal Midlothian Yeomanry Cavalry both half ball plated, Earl of Perth’s Foresters (4th Brigade Perth Volunteer Infantry 1798-1801) medium plated (2), Royal Staff Corps plated large 1816-28, Light Horse Volunteers (Westminster) medium plated, 3rd Foot Guards a superb open back gilt large, Coldstream Guards (Garter Star Proper) three very fine early closed backs and one convex open back (worn), Antigua Staff small gilt, Royal East Perth LM large gilt, King’s Bodyguard, RCA early gilt type, R Liverpool Fuzileers a medium open back plated, Royal Artillery a fine early gilt mufti or hunt, ‘AVI’ small plated open back, HYC small half ball open back gilt crown over ‘HYC’, General Officer large flat open back with early Jennens mark, Scottish Militia (?) small plated as per 3rd Foot Guards; Other Ranks, Royal Artillery large brass c1790-1801, 3rd Dragoons small brass c1790-1810, 9th Royal Veteran Battalion large pewter chipped and re-shanked, good overall condition (40) £200-250
