The Ford Motor Company Centerpiece: An English Silver Presentation Centerpiece, designed by Reginald H. Hill, C. J. Vander Ltd, London, 1952 on a circular base with reeded borders, inscribed * TO FORD MOTOR COMPANY USA * A JUBILEE GIFT FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY LTD., DAGENHAM, ENGLAND * 1903- 1953, rising to five seated wolverines supporting on their backs a deep circular bowl with shaped and lobed turned-over rim, the center of the bowl with attenuated and partly faceted neck supporting a removable wheel-shaped grid pierced, chased and engraved with alternating panels apple blossoms (state flower of Michigan) and Tudor roses, the neck fitted with a detachable concave well and matching domed cover, the neck of the cover engraved HE WHO MAKES THE EXPERIMENT JUSTLY CLAIMS THE HONOUR AND THE REWARD - Horace, the oval finial cast on one side with a lion rampant, the other side with the Seal of the United States, all on a removable square marble plinth marked throughout, the underside of the circular base engraved: Designed by Reginald H.
