Beschreibung:

The Jewish Renaissance – weekly publication from the Jewish Federation in Greece. Salonika, 1927-1931. 25 non-consecutive issues. The first is from April 29th 1927 and the last is from October 16th 1931. The weekly "The Jewish Renaissance" was published in Greece during 1917-1937. At the beginning, it was edited by Yosef ben Pinchas Uziel, and later by Yitzchak Angil. Publicized in three different series; the early series had the sub-title "Manifest of a Group of Jewish Youth" and "Zionist Journal". The issues we have are from the third series ("Seria 3"). The weekly journals contain information about the national movement: articles, essays, Jewish history, politics and more, alongside with literary material and advertisements. The entire weekly is written in Ladino, and sub-titles appear in Ladino, French and Greek. 4 pages in each issue, 52.5 cm. Good condition. Stains, torn edges, folded in half.
