'The Legends of Motorsport' Signed Collectors Edition
Ernest Nagamatsu will be travelling all the way over from LA to drive the Shelby Cobra and Old Yeller at this year's Chateau Impney Hillclimb. Ernest recently made the long trip to the Chateau in April to deliver two very special gifts. Ernest has donated two copies of 'The Legends of Motorsport' book. This book was compiled in the early 1990s and features many rare pictures from the extensive motorsport photography of Dave Friedman, Team Shelby Official photographer in the 1950s. Dave Friedman listed Ernest Nagamatsu in his acknowledgements amongst others as the editing and professional staff who assisted in the preparation of The Legends of Motorsport. One of the books, is a Limited Edition copy, one of only 350, which contains 22 signatures of motorsport legends, as well as the author. These signatures include; Chris Amon, Mario Andretti, Charlie Hays, Parnelli Jones, Phil Hill, Stirling Moss, Derek Bell, David Hobbs, Lother Motschenbacher, Jack Brabham, Brian Redman, Vic Elford, Jody Schecter, George Follmer, Denis Hulme, Jackie Stewart, Dan Gurney, Jacky Ickx, John Surtees Jim Hall, Innis Ireland, Rodger Ward and Dave Friedman. The 415 photographs are all in black and white and shows a stunning and representative of the finest in racing photography. This Limited Edition copy will be auctioned during the event and all proceeds will be donated to our charity partner, the Midlands Air Ambulance. The other copy of the book will be used as a prize for the individual that we believe encompasses the spirit of the event.
