Lot of 2 posters advertising the comedic play, The New Baby, A Howling Success, Chaperoned by David DeWolf, each copyrighted by the U.S. Printing Company, Russell-Morgan-Print, Cincinnati and New York. The first poster, captioned "Three of a kind beat two pair," features a depiction of a stressed father and two nannies trying to control seven squirming infants and children, copyrighted 1900, 27.75 x 40 in., linen backed, 31.5 x 44.5 in. overall. The second poster, captioned "Noah, wait and get your medicine," shows a group of people led by an aged man with a rifle and what appears to be a rolled up newspaper chasing after a fearful looking gent, copyrighted 1899, 27.75 x 21.25 in., linen backed, 31.75 x 25 in. overall. The comedy "The New Baby" was adapted by English actor and stage manager Arthur Bourchier from the German play "Der Rabenvater" by H. Fischer and Joseph Jarn. Condition: Each poster linen backed. Each poster retains strong, vibrant color. It appears that some areas along the perimeter of each poster may have been retouched/restored.
