Butler Date: 1806 Description: [79] pp. Woodcut illustrations. (24mo) 10.3x7.2 cm. (4x2¾") early full calf over wood boards. Scarce. First printed between 1687 and 1690 by Benjamin Harris the New England Primer would remain the standard for reading instruction in America for more than a century. Shaw & Shoemaker 10610. Lot Amendments Condition: Some chipping and pulls to leather; worming to first three leaves, early owner's name on half title; very good. Item number: 218237
