(Folio) 18¼x14½, full black panelled morocco, elaborately stamped in blind and gilt, wide gilt-topped spine bands, spine compartments lettered and decorated in gilt, all edges gilt. First Edition. One of the largest Bibles ever commercially produced. A subscriber's copy, Richard Westmacott descended through his family, with notes on the endpapers in Volume 1 and 2. Bookplate of The Peter White Private Library in each volume. Lot Amendments Condition: Front joint and hinge split on Vol. 1, front cover detached on Vol. 6, joints edges and corners rubbed, a few large pulls to leather; varied foxing throughout, heavier on plates and adjacent pages; else very good.
