Franklin, Post-Master, and D. Hall, September 26 & October 10, 1754 Two folio newspapers, each 6 pages (14 7/8 x 9 1/2 in.; 378 x 242 mm), woodcut arms in masthead, text in three columns; browned, no. 1346 also stained and just barely shaved at fore-edge of first page, disbound. The consignor has independently obtained a letter of authenticity from PSA that will accompany the lot. Two French and Indian War Era issues of Benjamin Franklin's Pennsylvania Gazette, one of the most significant colonial American newspapers. Both of these issues retain the third leaf bearing Franklin and Hall's iconic imprint, which is often lacking.Condition ReportCondition as described in catalogue entry.
