The second volume, concerning the Middle East, includes reference to the Jewish Yishuv and the issue of recruiting members of the Yishuv to the British Army. Churchill's testimony about the anti-Semitic relation of his officers towards the Jewish population was omitted from this work as the editors advised Churchill to do so, and it remained only in the drafts of this composition.
