Roberts) (c) 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; (d) War and Defence Medals, (War Medal, M.I.D. oakleaves) (e) General Service Medal 1918-62, George VI, one clasp Palestine 1945-48 (f) Coronation Medal 1953 (g) Russia, Order of Saint Anne (h) Russia, Order of Saint Stanislas (i) United States Legion of Merit Generally very fine, framed and glazed, mounted for display Brigadier Charles Douglas Roberts was born on the 5th October 1897 in Odessa, Russia, he enlisted in 1917 at the Castle Hill Barrack Aberdeen, as a gunner, in the Royal Artillery, he was then posted to Plymouth, commissioned March 1918, and volunteered for International Service 1919 returning to Russia, during the Second World War he saw service in the Middle East
