Beagle 1830-1834 Author: British Admiralty Place: London Publisher: Office of the Admiralty Date: March 16th, 1841 Description: Copper-engraved chart. 62x94 cm. (24½x37"). Chart of the southern tip of South America, surveyed on the second voyage of the Beagle, the one on which Charles Darwin made the observations that would culminate in his theory of evolution. There are a few old pencil notations on the map. Lot Amendments Condition: Some creasing, a few marginal chips, verso tape repairs, very good. Item number: 211972
