8 volumes. (12mo) 18.2x10.6 cm (7¼x4¼"), period tree calf ruled, lettered and decorated in gilt on spines. With plates affixed to the front free endpaper of each volume reading: "Charles Townsend. Given Him by the Right Hon. Louisa Lady Bagot, During the last long Ilness of the late Right Hon. Lord Bagot, 1798." Baron Bagot, of Bagot's Bromley in the County of Stafford, is a title in the Peerage of Great Britain. It was created on 12 October 1780 for Sir William Bagot, 6th Baronet.
