Title: The Street Fight - October 26, 1881, Tombstone, Arizona Territory Author: Perceval, Don Louis Place: [Tombstone, AZ] Publisher: Wyatt Earp's West Date: 1966 Description: Color offset print from Don Perceval's painting of the famous Gunfight at the OK Corral. Housed inside wooden frame (21½x28½" overall). Inscribed and signed by the artist to Waddell Smith (of the Pony Express Centennial Association). Perceval (1908-1979) is one of the most successful book illustrators / artists, depicting scenes and characters from the Old West. This painting once hung in the Wyatt Earp museum in Tombstone. The image dramatically depicts the instant just prior to the fight's end, with positions of the Earps, Cowboys, and Doc Holliday based on Wyatt Earp's own recollections. With printed sheet issued for this print, affixed on frame verso with a diagram map and a written description by John D. Gilchriese (providing further details from extensive research). Lot Amendments Condition: Appears to be fine (not examined outside of frame). Item number: 163574
