Housed inside wooden frame (21½x28½" overall). Inscribed and signed by the artist to Waddell Smith (of the Pony Express Centennial Association). Perceval (1908-1979) is one of the most successful book illustrators / artists, depicting scenes and characters from the Old West. This painting once hung in the Wyatt Earp museum in Tombstone. The image dramatically depicts the instant just prior to the fight's end, with positions of the Earps, Cowboys, and Doc Holliday based on Wyatt Earp's own recollections.
