(From the Curious to the Extraordinary, 6th May 2021) THE WORLD'S LARGEST BEAN POD, 'JACK'S BEAN' THE WORLD'S LARGEST BEAN POD, 'JACK'S BEAN' 93cm long Provenance: Viktor Wynd’s Museum, London. Wynd says "This giant bean was bought from a young boy, called Johnathan, at Fakenham Market in 2017. He did, however, very strongly urge me not to plant for the seeds for he said whilst they would germinate the bean plant itself would grow very, very tall and I might not like what I found if I climbed to the top." The Viktor Wynd Museum of Curiosities, Fine Art & UnNatural History is a contemporary reinterpretation of a Pre-Enlightenment Wunderkabinett or Cabinet of Curiosities. It is the creation of artist and writer Viktor Wynd, who has just opened a Falmouth branch of his museum inside the National Maritime Museum. His most recent book 'The UnNatural History Museum' was published by Prestel in 2020.
