Three Egyptian wooden items Middle Kingdom, circa 2000 B.C. Including an Egyptian wooden implement for burnishing papyrus, with a bell-shaped block base and long flaring handle, 85/8in (21.9cm) high; a model of a wooden flail, the short wooden shaft with palm bound around the top, a loop above, 5¾in (14.6cm) high, mounted; and an Egyptian fragmentary wooden figure, wearing a short wig, with traces of black and red pigment remaining, 5¼in (13.3cm) high, mounted; an Egyptian terracotta funerary cone with three columns of text, inscribed for the royal scribe 'Tjany', scribe of recruits and the army, New Kingdom, circa 1550-1070 B.C., 3¼in (8.3cm) diam, tip missing; a Neolithic stone axe-head, of trapezoidal form with curved cutting edge and tapering butt, 4½in (11.4cm) long; and two other items, one a squat stone vessel with curving ridges, 23/8in (6cm) diam, the other a black stone loom weight with a central piercing and geometric patterns, 1¾in (4cm) diam (7)
