Nine color woodcut vignettes within gilt lithograph borders, including title page vignette. (12mo) 16.5x10.5 cm (6½x4¼") original blindstamped blue cloth, gilt vignette and lettering on front. A scarce book of views of American scenery. Title page view of Lake George and eight others, comprising: The two lakes and the Mountain House of the Catskills, View of the Susquehannah (sic), Trenton Falls, Outlet of Niagara River, The narrows from Fort Hamilton, Baltimore, The Pallisades - Hudson River, Boston and Bunker Hill. All but the title page view with descriptive letterpress. OCLC locates 10 copies, none west of Ohio. No copies in auction records. Lot Amendments Condition: Light wear to binding; foxing; very good.
