Produced under the authority of the established Church of England in 1568, the Bishops' translation was substantially revised in 1572, and this revised edition was the base text for the Authorized King James Version of 1611. Lot Amendments Condition: leaf 90 with 4" closed tear into gutter margin and text; leaf 117 with 3 small holes affecting lettering in 4 lines of text; very good or better in fine modern binding.
