Rondelet & Imprimerie de Fain Date: 1828-1830 Description: Only 3 volumes of an incomplete fragmented mixed set comprising: Volume I - 6th Edition, 7 (of 8) plates, lacking plate no. 8 Volume II - 1828 Edition, 9 plates Volume III, Part II only - 6th Edition, 34 plates xl, 364; 363; 199-380 pp. Illustrated with portrait bust of Rondelet and detailed architectural plates. (4to) quarter brown calf with marbled paper boards, gilt spine titles; all edges marbled. These volumes are best known for their detailed architectural plates. Rondelet was the chief architect of the Church of Sainte-Geneviéve in Paris. Lot Amendments Condition: Heavy wear, lacking spines, covers detached; foxed; good only. Lots sold without reserve are sold “as Is” and are not returnable under any circumstances.
