TROPHEE AUTOMOBILE CLUB DE L'OUEST Coupe Challenge 1923 - Concours du Carburant National En argent, par Riesler, de forme balustre, à décor d'un écusson émaillé ACO sur chaque face, les prises ornées de tête de femmes et pampres de vignes, poinçon minerve, monté sur un socle en marbre portant sur une face une plaque inscrite Coupe Challenge/ Concours du Carburant National 1923, sur l'autre face une plaque inscrite Fédération Nationale de l'Automobile et du Cycle de l'Aéronautique et des transports Automobiles. H. : 29 cm (11 1/2 in.) A 1923 Automobile Club de l'Ouest - Coupe Challenge silver trophy, by Riesler. This trophy belonged to the German pilot Rudolf Sauerwein, who participated on 1937 Le Mans 24 Hours on an Adler Super Trumpf. He finished on the 6th place, and won the 2.00 Liters category. He probably received this trophy in gift from another pilot Lots 51 et 52: Ces deux trophées ont appartenu au pilote Allemand Rudolf Sauerwein (1901-1956) qui participa aux 24 Heures du Mans 1937 sur une Adler Super Trumpf Rennlimousine 1.7L 14 (n°33) avec Peter Graff Orssich comme co-équipier. Ils terminent 6ème du classement général et remporte la catégorie 2.0 Litres.
