TWENTY-FIVE KOZUKA , AN IRON TSUBA AND TWO KOZUKA BLADES Some signed, 18th/19th Century The first shakudo ishime-ji kozuka decorated with a toad and plants in copper takazogan and shakudo takabori , signed Seimin ; shibuichi Nara school, depicting Ushiwaka playing the flute under the full moon in usuniku bori and shishiaibori , signed Shigenko Soo ; shibuichi decorated with a design of a camellia flower branch in a shakudo pot in iroe takazogan , with signature Shuno Hogan Nobiyoshi and Kao ; shakudo nanako Goto school with a dragon entwined on a ken in takabori , encased in gilt shibuichi , with signature Mon Jyoshin Renjo and Kao ; dark shibuichi depicting two warriors in katakiri bori , signed Furukawa Jyochin and Kao ; shibuichi depicting a Kubira, one of the twelve god generals protecting Nyorai, with an arrow on a boar in copper takazogan , signed Seishunkan ; a copper kozuka with a figure holding incense and another in katakiribori, takabori and gilt; shibuichi kozuka decorated with a kingfisher perched on reeds in takabori, takazogan and gilt details; another depicting ducks in a stream in sukidashi , silver zogan with ducks, the reverse with a mountainous landscape in katakiribori ; copper depicting two manzai dancers in takabori, shibuichi takazogan and gilt, shakudo and gilt case, with signature Tsunenao and kao ; ishime-ji copper, deer in takazogan ; copper with plum blossom, signed Masanori and kao ; shibuichi nanako with a grasshopper in copper; shibuichi Mito with Jurojin in shishiai bori , reverse shakudo , signed Aobaken Yoshitaka (?); another Hamano shibuichi depicting Kanzan and Jittoku, signed Yukihide ; another similar depicting Hotei, with signature Joi ; shibuichi Hamano, depicting Jurojin holding a tama in takazogan ; seven iron kozuka including one Hamano depicting a foreigner, signed Hamano Naohide and kao , one depicting a monkey reaching for a reflection of the moon, signed Nanaju ichi o Yoshichika , Tsuchiya school, one with herons, signed Tomotsune ; another four depicting a rabbit, drum and rosary, boat and a centipede; a small shibuichi kozuka carved in takabori with waves; an iron circular Bushu tsuba carved in relief with a landscape, signed Bushuju Masanaga , 7.4cm.; and two kozuka blades, (some rust) (28)
