Twenty-one French creamware plates printed in black, comprising: one with St. George and the Dragon below the title Confrerie de Gand within a border of trophies; two printed with revolutionary codes; two printed with revolutionary songs; three from a series of historical scenes titled HISPALA DECOUVRE AU CONSUL LES INTRIGUES DE LA FETE DE BACCHUS, MAIRES DU PALAIS and ORDRE DE CHEVALERIE ; two others similar printed with scenes titled ERISPOE, CUC DES BRETONS, RECOIT LES ORNEMENS DE LA ROYAUTE and VESTIGES DE LA MAISON DE CICERON ; two plates printed with similar scenes of an injured warrior being offered refreshment in a forest; two others from a series printed with AVENUE DU JARDIN DES PLANTES and MONUMENT A LA GLOIRE DE LA NATION ; and six plates from a series printed with women of various professions within moulded borders, most of the above with printed and impressed marks for CREIL and retailer's mark for STONE, COQUEREL ET LE GROS , all late 18th or early 19th Century (21)
