Two Ancient Roman Blown Glass Articles Comprising a two-handled bottle with applied 'celery' strap handles, in transparent pale green colored glass, height 4 3/4 inches (12 cm) ; and a globular vessel, with applied vertical trailed 'rib' decoration and pinched protruding nodules, also apparently in transparent pale green colored glass, now appearing primarily black in coloration, height 3 inches (7.62 cm) . C
Bottle with Handles: appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition; there are some thin fiber-type elements inside the vessel, most of which appear to be adhering to inner wall of the vessel and take on the appearance of thin hairline cracks to the body; one or two of these fibrous elements are loose within the vessel; flaking and flake losses to the now iridized exterior parts of the vessel Globular Vessel: there is a loss to at least one of the protruding small nodules (there are seven 'columns' of three nodules in column formation, located in between the vertical 'ribs' or tendrils); there is a tight hairline fracture to the glass body; the top rim edge appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition; there are flake losses to the interior film surface that now covers the interior side
