Tench Coxe, politician, businessman, member of the Continental Congress (1788-9), and staunch proponent of the right to bear arms, writes to the Surveyor General and Attorney General of New York regarding land that was confiscated in 1775 and apparently purchased by William and Rebecca Coxe and the title to which was now uncertain.
