Two Bakelite Carved Bangles, the first Art Deco of flying saucer form, centering an applejuice stripe flanked by licorice sections, reverse carved, the second of translucent caramel deeply carved, interior circumference 7 3/4 and 8 in. Note: The first bangle is pictured on p.40 of "The Bakelite Jewelry Book". Note: Lots 421 to 543 come from the collection of Corinne "Corky" Davidov. Ms. Davidov co-authored "The Bakelite Jewelry Book" (1988) with Ginny Redington Dawes. Many lots in the collection are pictured in the book. Ms. Davidov also co-authored "The Victorian Jewelry Book" (1990) and is currently a writer for Lucire, a global fashion magazine. This collection was amassed over twenty years beginning with a few pieces owned by her mother.
