TWO BRONZE MIRRORS, PROBABLY HAN DYNASTY (206BC-220AD) comprising a large circular mirror, decorated in high relief and with slender raised lines with concentric bands of motifs radiating from the centre, with a pair of confronting dragons, a band with seven raised nodes alternating with motifs of animals and figures and a slender band of characters forming an inscription, the raised outer edges with repeated triangular motifs; the second mirror with a square panel surrounding the central knop, decorated in relief with a tiger, dragon, phoenix and stag between four raised nodes, the raised rim with scrolling motifs -- The first, 7¼in.
