Two Chinese Ivory Brushpots 19th Century Each of cylindrical form, one with mother-of-pearl, jade, ivory and hardstone fruiting and blossoming branch design, the other carved with a sage seated beneath a pine tree contemplating a landscape. Height of tallest 4 5/8 inches. C
Smaller brushpot without inlay hasnumerous vertical age cracks three of which end in a small chip at the base. Base has shrunk a small amount. Larger pot has extensive loss to inlay. Ivory plugged base has chipped on the interior and exterior. Fine vertical age cracks on sides, Overall brownish stain.
