TWO CHINESE STONE FIGURES TANG DYNASTY (618-907) AND LATER Comprising a marble figure of a standing Bodhisattva with an inscribed dedication and a jiawu and bingchen cyclical date to the base; and a limestone figure of an official, inscribed to the back with a maker's mark and a cyclical date of the 10th day of the 3rd month of the bing year The largest, 16 ½ in. (42 cm.) high Provenance By repute, sold at Sotheby's in the 1960s. Acquired in Buenos Aires in the late 1980s/early 1990s.
