Two Dutch-engraved goblets CIRCA 1740 The first a faceted Saxon example, the bowl with a gallant couple in a landscape vignette, inscribed ONS LANG LEEVEN EN WEL VAREN , 'our long life and well being', the knopped stem upon folded foot, 17.8 cm. high; the second a German example engraved with the goddess Flora holding a cornucopia, inscribed T: GROYEN EN BLOYEN , 'growing and blooming', on multi-knopped stem, conical folded foot, 19.1 cm. high (2)
