Two George IV silver soup tureens, covers, liners and stands maker's mark of Robert Garrard London, 1826 and 1827 The fluted shaped-circular stands with raised centre and two shell bracket handles, the detachable vase-shaped tureens each on spreading circular foot and with two reeded scroll handles with lion's mask terminals, the lower part of the body chased with flutes, the detachable domed cover similarly chased with detachable crest finial formed as a lion's head rising out of a ducal coronet, the bodies each engraved twice with a coat-of-arms, the stands and covers twice with a crest, each with Earl's coronet above, marked on stands, bodies, liners, covers and one finial, the stands and liners stamped 'GARRARDS Panton Street LONDON' the stands 21¼in. (54cm.) wide height overall 17in. (43cm.) 731ozs. (22,756grs.) (2)
