Two Inro Edo Period (18th-19th century) The first, single-case, decorated in gold and red hiramaki-e on a black lacquer ground and inlaid in carved red lacquer and mother-of-pearl in Korin style with maple leaves on swirling water, with fitted inner tray, black lacquer interior and risers with a geometric pattern in gold lacquer; the second, three-case, decorated in Hanzan style with glazed pottery, mother-of-pearl and lead inlays and coloured urushi with hydrangea nashiji interiors, fundame rims 6cm. and 6.2cm. high respectively
