TWO JADE ARCHED ORNAMENTS LATE SHANG/EARLY WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY, CIRCA 11TH-10TH CENTURY BC One of pale greenish-white color, carved at each end in low relief lines with a taotie mask with bottle-horns and chevron crest, each end pierced with two bullnose holes; the other handle now almost completely opaque, also carved at each end with a taotie mask and pierced at each with two biconical holes 1¾ and 2¼ in. (4.5 and 5.7 cm.) long (2)
