♡ TWO JAPANESE LACQUER INRO EDO PERIOD (1603-1867), 18TH CENTURY The first an early three case inro of a Buddhist holy man atop a packhorse in low relief lacquer and a deer horn Ryusa style netsuke; the second a four case inro based on a Tsukushi (Horsetail) design with gold, red lacquer on a black ground and fine mother of pearl inlay; the netsuke in the shape of a small tsuba (sword hilt). The inro 7cm x 4.8 cm & 5.8cm x 4.5 cm PROVENANCE: A Private Collection of Inro and Japanese accessories. Estimate $1,200-1,500 Condition: The first with minor rubbing overall, small restoration to himotoshi edge of bottom case.
