Two Japanese Satsuma Vases Meiji Period Comprising one of ovoid form, painted with women and men between foliate borders; the other of cup form, set on a squat globular base raised on three elephant head feet, all encompassed by a dragon in relief around the middle section, enameled with fans, diaper and foliate patterning, base signed. Height of tallest 4 inches.
Ovoid jar: signature rubbed off; other vase: probably had a lid. Some overall gilt wear on both
