As parallels see two candlestick preserved in the National Museum in Munich - cast in the late 14th century, it features a small man in medieval garb holding two candle-bearing bobege on his outstretched arms. Many German bronze objects were replicated in the 19th century in the wake of the Revival style, such as this pair of candlesticks. The kind of simplified, textured workmanship resembles the medieval modeling, leaving us with some doubt.
