1. Bronze medal commemorating the inauguration of the Glockengasse synagogue in Cologne, August 1861. Made by Jacques Wiener. Obverse: the synagogue building, the legend "Synagogue zu Coeln Eingeweiht Am 29 August 1861" [Inauguration of the synagogue at Cologne, 29 August 1861], and the name of the architect who designed for the building. Reverse: the synagogue interior, the Hebrew legend "And Abraham Oppenheim shall build the temple of the Lord for the community of Cologne, and it shall be inaugurated on 23 Elul 5621, may G-d remember it for the best", and the signature - "J. Wiener F.". The Glockengasse synagogue was built in 1861 with funding by Abraham Oppenheim, and was one of the two major synagogues in Cologne prior to World War II. In November 1938 it was destroyed by the Nazis during Kristallnacht. Diameter: 59 mm. 2. Bronze medal - Jewish community in Hamburg, [1890]. Obverse: woman holding a baby and stretching her hand out to a man, a memorial lamp and the Hebrew legend "We shall stand together". At the top is an image of the Tablets of the Law and a handshake. At the bottom is the Jewish year, 5650. Reverse: relief of the façade of the Torah ark in the Hamburg synagogue, surrounded by various decorations. Near the edge is the legend "Deutsch-Israel: Gemeinde Hamburg". At the bottom are a Star of David and the signature - "J.v. Langa". Marked on the edge: "H.M. Bronze". Diameter: 42 mm.
