TWO PAIRS OF MODERN SILVER PEPPER-GRINDERS, A PAIR OF MUSTARD-POTS AND PAIR OF MODERN SILVER SAUCEBOATS The mustard-pots, mark of HPLP, London, 1957; the pepper-grinders, mark of PG Co Ld, London, one pair, 1964, the other pair, 1972; the sauceboats with mark of Hancocks & Co., London, 1965 The mustard-pots, each of trencher form, shaped rectangular with canted corners and reeded borders, with scroll handle, hinged flat cover and scroll thumbpiece, marked on base, also stamped with retailer's mark for TESSIERS LONDON , with blue glass liners, and two associated salt shovels; one pair of pepper-grinders, spool-shaped, the other pair of lighthouse form, engraved with the monogram JP , marked on base ; each sauceboat shaped oval, on three hoof feet with shell terminals, with helmet-shaped spout and foliate-capped reeded scroll handle, marked on base the pepper-grinders: 3 in. (7.5 cm.) high; the sauceboats: 7¾ in. (19.5 cm.) long gross: 52 oz. (1659 gr.) (8)
