Lot of 2 panoramic photographs, 12.25 x 4 in. and 11 x 4 in., showing a bicycle jump from two angles. Both shots capture the jumper in mid-air, being watched by a large crowd of spectators seated in the stands underneath the tent that surrounds the unidentified Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show arena, possibly in Paris. A few minor differences confirm these were separate jumps that were made in the same arena. One of our savvy customers has identified the performer in these photographs as "Carter the Cowboy Cyclist," who worked with the Wild West Show in 1904. Provenance: Descended directly in the family of William F. Buffalo Bill Cody Condition: Light edge wear, and a few light creases at the edges.
