Two small inlaid-bronze vases Meiji period (late 19th century), the first signed Dai Nihon Kyoto ju Ikkodo Miyabe Atsuyoshi and with kao (cursive monogram), the second signed Dai Nihon Kyoto ju Miyabe Atsuyoshi The first vase of elongated ovoid form with rounded shoulder, applied tapered neck and with a yellowish-brown patina, decorated in copper, silver, gilt and shakudo takazogan with a kingfisher in flight above blossoming iris; the second vase (illustrated) of elongated ovoid form with applied flat shoulder, short neck and upright rim with a brown patina, decorated in copper, silver, gilt and shakudo takazogan with an egret beneath blossoming iris looking on at two others in flight; each with incised signature on base 8¼in.
