Provenance : a few early 19th-century pencilled marginalia -- Thomas Edward Watson (bookplate; by descent to the present owners). Second edition. STC 24510. SELDEN, John. Mare clausum seu de dominio maris libri duo . [Amsterdam?]: iuxta exemplar W. Stansbeii for R. Meighen, 1636. 2 parts in one volume, 8°, title printed in red and black, 2 full-page engraved maps in the text and several woodcut illustrations, 2 full-page (some staining and discolouration). Contemporary vellum (lightly soiled). Provenance : Thomas Edward Watson (bookplate; by descent to the present owners). Third edition. STC 22176. With Robert Wittie's Scarbrough Spaw (London, 1660).
