H104601, no. 2265456, the two piece screw down case with stepped bezel, gold dial, raised chapter ring, tapered baton numerals, Dauphine hands and date aperture, the back cover engraved with the Libyan Royal arms and an inscription in Arabic, 28 jewel Universal microtor automatic movement adjusted to five positions and temperatures, monometallic balance, flat balance spring, screw regulator, cal. 218-2 no. 4200, on a woven gold bracelet, 20cm overall Sold with a Kingdom of Libya Order of Independence (Wissam al-Istikal) 2nd class star and medallion, in its box with presentation certificate, envelope and carbon copy of the recipient's reply to King Idris, thanking him for the award dated June 1966.letter from King Idris has been translated from the Arabic: From Idris the First, King of the Kingdom of Libya by the grace of God.Mr E V Evans Accounts manager at the Royal Court. In recognition of your excellent qualities and noble character and in gratitude for the outstanding service you have provided us, we hereby bestow upon you the medal of the exalted Order Of Independence, second class. We have therefore ordered the issue of this award from our Royal Court. at Dar El Salam Palace, Tobruk on the twenty sixth day of the month of Safar in the year one thousand three hundred and eighty six from the migration of the seal of the prophets (Hijri calendar) which coincides with the twenty sixth of May one thousand nine hundred and sixty six AD. the order of his Majesty the King (Signed) Chief of the Royal Court NB The signature at the top of the page in red is the King's signature.
