unused Freaks & Errors, 19th-20th Century, very massive and very significant collection of many hundreds of used and unused items on album pages, running the complete spectrum of the freak and error field, incl. some pre-printing paper folds, many freak and wild perfs. (some quite spectacular), dry prints, smeared prints, post office splices, gutter snips, various double transfers, double paper varieties, etc., present on classic issues up to the 1940's (nothing more modern) and on some back of the book items, also some cancellations and shades thru the Bank Note period, varieties exist on some better stamps and on plate no. blocks, there are also some better error varieties such as unused no. 266/267 combination block, 498a block, 525c block, 538a block and two no. 670 wide spacing pairs, also no. 732 signed by the artist of the original N.R.A. poster adapted for the stamp design, an old-time very desirable and valuable collection, worthy of careful examination and consideration, very mixed condition, some items have faults or are faulty, otherwise good-very fine lot
