second Wechel edition, lacking title, woodcut printer’s device on verso of final leaf, woodcut initials, numerous woodcut illustrations, many full-page, browned and water-stained, X1 & 6 frayed and X3 torn at lower margin, X4 defective at lower outer corner with slight loss to border of woodcut, book-label of Frederick Hammond Gibbens on front pastedown with A.L.s. from him tipped in presenting the book to his library, contemporary calf, boards with traces of gilt arms with motto “Prudens qui patiens” (?Sir Edward Coke), rather worn (particularly corners), rebacked, [Adams V225; Harvard French 536; cf.Cockle 501], folio, [Paris, Christian Wechel], [1534].
