Provenance : unidentified cardinal (binding). Second Stainer edition, adding 10 full-page woodcuts to the 120 which had appeared in his edition of 1529. These illustrations of machines of war, some fanciful, resemble Valturius and are based on the edition printed at Erfurt in 1511.
