Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt Three lunar scenes at the end of the last EVA on the surface of another world, comprising: 1) Eugene Cernan unveiling a commemorative plaque Vintage chromogenic print on resin-coated Kodak paper, 20.3 x 25.4 cm (8 x 10 in), [NASA photo no AS17-134-20481], with A KODAK PAPER watermarks on the verso 2) Lunar Module during the final traverse of the Lunar Rover from Station 9 3) Experiments at the ALSEP site 14 December 1972 Set of two vintage chromogenic prints on resin-coated GAF paper, 25.4 x 20.3 cm (10 x 8 in), numbers NASA AS17-134-20458 and NASA AS17-134-20493 printed in bottom margin, with GAF watermarks on the verso (NASA / USGS) Footnotes: The third excursion of Apollo 17 marked the last human footsteps on another world in the twentieth century. During the record 22 hours spent outside on the lunar surface, Gene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt drove the Lunar Rover 22.5 miles around the Taurus-Littrow area of the Sea of Serenity.
