Beschreibung:

Vlaminck, Maurice de. Haute folie. 154 S., 2 Bl. Mit 48 farbigen Orig.-Lithographien von Maurice de Vlaminck und 40 mehrfarbigen Initialen von Paul Bonet. 38 x 28,5 cm. Lose Doppelbogen in OUmschlag und OPp-Schuber. Paris, Scripta & Picta, 1964. Monod 11351. Walterskirchen XXV, A (278-326 b). Vgl. Bénézit X, 547. Strachan S. 344. "Over the years Vlaminck's idiom in his lithographs, as in his painting, changed singularly little. The turbulent skies, the orange-tiled roofs, the highlights are omnipresent in the lithographs of this fauve pioneer and go well with the Zola-like text of his own composition. It is the native, poetic realism which never loses contact with the homely earth, the tradition that runs throughout French painting with period variations from the Le Nain brothers onwards to Millet, Courbet and the present day." (Strachen S. 214, mit Abb. aus 'La Haute Folie'). – Nahezu verlagsfrisches Exemplar.
