Walter Fleischmann was born on March 30, 1925 in Austria. He served with the HJ Bann 558 Mürzzuschlag, NSKK Motorstandarte 89 Sturm 4/M 89 and the SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 22. A part of the 10. SS-Panzer-Division „Frundsberg“. HJ achievement booklet with original attached photograhpy. The awards noted on page 5: HJ Achievement Badge in black "Eisen" and silver. Complete with all pages. Also inculding his driver's license and his HJ shooting book. The driver's license with a nice photograhpy, he's wearing two HJ pins. Two uncommon certificates to HJ shooting badge and SA Sports Badge in bronze with attached photo. From his period of service to the Waffen-SS are two letters and a Christmas card with his photograhpy enclosed. Both letter were sent to his parents with the message, that Walter is killed in action on August 5, 1944 in the Normandy. He was buried at the "Heldenfriedhof" cemetery in Butanges, 17km south from Falaise. Framed with glass to the front. Size: 22x28cm. Walter Fleischmann was involved in the battles of the Allied invasion in Normandy. Furthermore a HJ photograhpy and a 1938 Reichparteitag ID-card. A fine grouping. Good condition 2+.
