(9 7/8 in.) in diameter Inscribed with a poem and signed by Wang Jingwei, with one seal Dated winter, renwu year (1942) Dedicated to Bingru (Chen Bijun, 1891-1959) NOTE: As stated in the inscription, Wang Wenxing painted the figure with the donkey while Ho Mang Hang added the background. This was made as a present for Chen Bijun which references the 30th year of her marriage to Wang Jingwei. The poem inscribed here, titled Inscription for My Child ’ s Painting Leading a Donkey is included in the collection of Shuangzhaolou shicigao .
