[USA: 1942-45.] An OSS (Office of Strategic services) expandable steel spring baton (cosh), with its original green leather handle and rope lanyard. Length of baton extended 420mm. Together with; An OSS lead weighted "Sap," or truncheon, the lead covered in woven rope, and painted black, with its original string lanyard. Length 200mm. 8 inches. Provenance: War Museum. Two lethal weapons, part of the arsenal of an OSS agent in the field. Both could be concealed up a sleeve, and both were silent and deadly at close quarters.
